Intro: Until now we have considered the various Judgments upon the world and its people (except for chapter 7:1-8 The sealing of the 144,00 Jewish men). Now our attention is focused on Israel and Jerusalem in particular. Vs. 1-14 continues the parenthesis started in Chapter 10.

Daniel’s Keys to Understanding Bible Prophecy

Dan. 9:24-27 "an intensely important feature of those verses is the

identification of the five elements, that are related to all debatable

prophetic events. They are:

1. "thy (Daniel’s) people" 9:24 Jewry/Israel

2. "Thy Holy City" 9:24 Jerusalem

3. "Messiah" 9:26 Jesus Christ

4. "the people of the prince (antigod) that shall come" 9:26 Roman empire (east/west)

5. "He" (the prince that shall come) 9:27 antigod(antichrist)

From a positive perspective, Israel is to be the unfolding story of the

last days as she moves through Tribulation toward national

reconciliation with Messiah. Elwood McQuaid Israel My Glory Vol.48,No.4

C. WHEN DO THEY DO IT?
